Greek Residency

Choosing between Greece's main residency routes

How investment, independent income, remote work and family routes differ, and the questions that decide which one applies.

Start with activity, not with the permit

The decisive questions are what you intend to do in Greece, where your income arises and who is coming with you. Those answers usually narrow four or five theoretical routes to one or two realistic ones.

Consider the second and third year

Renewal conditions, permitted absences and the path to long-term status differ between routes. A permit that is easy to obtain is not always the one that supports your longer plan.
